Mezcla Frambuesa by Alesong Brewing and Blending is a sour ale aged in tequila barrels and conditioned on raspberries and roasted jalapeños. The blending process highlights the tart, fruity sweetness of the raspberries, which is carefully balanced by the earthy, smoky heat of the roasted peppers. Resting in tequila barrels imparts additional complex layers of agave, oak, and subtle vanilla to the finished beer, resulting in a vibrant, mildly spicy, and deeply layered flavor profile.
