Melting Orb by Bizarre Brewing is a New Zealand-style pilsner brewed with a base of pilsner malts and flaked wheat. The brewing process involves hopping the beer in the kettle with Nectaron, Motueka, and Hallertau Mittelfrüh, followed by a dry hop addition of Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin, and Motueka. It is fermented cold using the brewery's house lager strain and spunded for natural carbonation. This combination of noble and Southern Hemisphere hops imparts bright tropical fruit notes, including passion fruit, alongside hints of green grass, white wine, lemongrass, and orange blossom. The beer features a soft, clean body with a mild bitterness and a cracker-crisp finish.
