Tank 7 by Boulevard Brewing Co. is an American twist on a classic Belgian-style farmhouse ale, named after the brewery's temperamental fermenter number seven where the recipe was originally perfected. Pouring a straw-colored hue, it is brewed with a grain bill of pale malt, malted wheat, and flaked corn. The brewing process features Magnum, Simcoe, and Amarillo hops, including a dry-hopping addition of Amarillo. This combination imparts a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit notes alongside classic Belgian yeast esters. The flavor profile offers a soft, sweet malt character balanced by prominent hop bitterness, ultimately tapering off to a peppery, dry finish with 38 IBU.
