Chouffe IPA
Brasserie d'Achouffe · IPA - Belgian · 9.0% ABV
Chouffe IPA, also known as Houblon Chouffe, is a Belgian IPA crafted by Brasserie d'Achouffe that blends traditional Belgian brewing with American hopping techniques. Widely considered the first Belgian IPA, it is brewed with water, barley malt, invert sugar syrup, yeast, and a blend of Tomahawk, Saaz, and Amarillo hops. This combination produces a pale blonde, slightly hazy beer with a pronounced bitterness and a fruity aroma. The flavor profile features prominent citrus and grapefruit zest notes, balanced by a subtle malty sweetness and a spicy finish.
