Duchesse Cherry

Brouwerij Verhaeghe · Sour - Flanders Red Ale · 6.8% ABV

Duchesse Cherry is a traditional Flemish red ale brewed using mixed fermentation and aged in oak foeders. The beer is created by blending one- and two-year-old oak-aged ales, which are then macerated with whole sour cherries from the Sint-Truiden region of Belgium. Brewed with roasted malts and low-bitterness hops, this process yields a complex, tart profile characterized by prominent notes of fresh cherries, subtle oak, and a balanced sweet-and-sour finish.
