Tough Love [banished]

Crux Fermentation Project · Stout - Imperial / Double · 13.0% ABV

Tough Love [BANISHED] is a robust barrel-aged Imperial Stout crafted by Crux Fermentation Project. The beer is brewed with blackstrap molasses and brewer's licorice, utilizing a complex grain profile that features dark roasted malt, oak-smoked wheat, and malted rye. Following the initial brewing process, the stout is aged under controlled conditions for nearly a year in Kentucky bourbon barrels alongside vanilla beans and cherry bark. This extensive barrel-aging process imparts a rich and balanced flavor profile, highlighted by delicate notes of velvety chocolate, roasted coffee, vanilla, dried cherries, dried fruit, and a touch of oak.
