The Adventures of Zelda is a barrel-aged farmhouse ale by E9 Brewing Co., named after the head brewer's daughter. Originally brewed with fresh hops grown around Tacoma, Washington, the beer undergoes primary fermentation in stainless steel before being transferred to barrels. Variations of this saison have been aged for over a year in oak, including Cabernet barrels conditioned with Brettanomyces, and blended across multiple vintages. The brewing process also features conditioning on Yakima Valley peaches and apricots, resulting in a dry, effervescent, and funky profile highlighted by bright stone fruit flavors and a distinct minerality.
