Hopulent (Nitro)
Epic Brewing Company · IPA - Imperial / Double · 8.8% ABV
Hopulent (Nitro) is an Imperial IPA conditioned on nitrogen to create a rich, creamy mouthfeel and a thick cascading head. It is brewed with a robust malt backbone featuring Maris Otter, 2-Row, and caramel malts to balance the aggressive hop profile. The recipe utilizes Columbus, Centennial, and Simcoe hops, which impart complex aromatic and flavor notes of citrus, pine, and resin. The nitrogen presentation smooths out the sharp bitterness typically found in a double IPA, allowing the deep malt sweetness and bright hop characteristics to shine through a velvety texture.
