Madame R. Galle
Fair Isle Brewing · Farmhouse Ale - Saison · 6.2% ABV
Madame R. Galle is the house saison of Fair Isle Brewing, inspired by the traditional farmhouse ales of the Wallonian region along the border of Belgium and France. It is a dry saison brewed with Fritz Pilsner malt and Skagit White Club wheat from the Skagit Valley, which sets the stage for the brewery's house wild yeast culture to thrive. The resulting flavor profile features bright notes of Meyer lemon and apricots, balanced by a soft bitterness from German Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops. The beer is named after a variety of begonia, paying homage to a 1970s mail-order begonia shop that formerly occupied the brewery's tasting room space.
