Holy Citra is an American IPA brewed by Ferment Brewing Company. It is built on a light, soft base of pilsner malt, malted and raw wheat, and rolled oats. The brewing process uses no hops in the kettle, instead utilizing a cool whirlpool with Citra and Amarillo hops to retain their aromatics without extracting bitterness. Additional Citra and Amarillo hops are added during fermentation, followed by a substantial dry-hop charge of both varieties. This creates a big, juicy, and somewhat hazy IPA with a huge Pacific Northwest hop presence.
