Anniversary XXV Ale (2021) by Firestone Walker Brewing Company is a blended barrel-aged American strong ale created in collaboration with local Paso Robles winemakers. The 2021 vintage features a complex blend of the brewery's vintage barrel-aged beers, primarily consisting of Parabola, an imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels, and Helldorado, a blonde barleywine aged in tequila barrels. The blend is rounded out with smaller additions of Bravo imperial brown ale, Stickee Monkee Central Coast quad, and Velvet Merkin milk stout, which are also aged in bourbon barrels. This blending process yields a rich flavor profile with notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, toasted oak, and a distinct hint of agave and spice from the tequila barrels.
