Fresh Cut Fresh Hop

Fortside Brewing Company · IPA - New England / Hazy · 8.0% ABV

Fresh Cut Fresh Hop by Fortside Brewing Company is a New England-style Hazy IPA crafted to celebrate the annual Pacific Northwest hop harvest. The brewing process builds a juicy foundation by utilizing dried hops such as Citra, Mosaic, Motueka, and Lotus in the whirlpool and initial dry hop. The beer is then heavily dry-hopped with freshly picked, wet hops sourced directly from local growers like Goschie Farms. Because it is a seasonal harvest ale, the specific wet hops rotate yearly, with past vintages featuring triple-fresh-hopped additions of Strata, Willamette, Cascade, Hallertau, and Centennial. This wet-hopping technique imparts a vibrant, green flavor profile with prominent notes of juicy grapefruit, lime, orange blossom, ripe melon, and a heady, earthy dankness, all balanced by a mild 38 IBU.
