1765 (2024)

Fremont Brewing · Strong Ale - Other · 13.9% ABV

1765 (2024) by Fremont Brewing is an exclusive blend of stout and golden barleywine ale finished with Brazilian anaerobic coffee from Stamp Act Coffee. The complex brewing process involves blending barleywine ale aged in Woodford Reserve and Knob Creek barrels, stout aged in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels, and an anniversary stout aged in ex-bourbon vanilla extract barrels. Pouring a dark black color, it features 46 IBUs and delivers a moderately sweet flavor with subtle bitterness and a warming, non-astringent finish. The aroma offers rich notes of dark roast coffee, baker's chocolate, brownie batter, molasses, toffee, dried fruit, and subtle earthy leather, all carried by a medium body and medium carbonation.
