Coffee Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Star is an Imperial Oatmeal Stout aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels and infused with locally roasted coffee. The base beer is brewed with 2-Row, Roast Barley, Carafa-2, Chocolate, and Crystal malts, along with Flaked Oats, and hopped with Magnum, Willamette, and Cascade. The barrel-aging process imparts notes of vanilla, oak, and caramel, which are complemented by the addition of cold-brewed coffee. This results in a rich, smooth profile featuring intense roasted coffee aromas, dark chocolate, and a distinct bourbon character.
