Bourbon County Brand Stout by Goose Island is a pioneering barrel-aged Imperial Stout known for its extraordinary depth and rich, decadent mouthfeel. The beer is brewed with a robust malt bill that includes 2-Row, Black Malt, Caramel, Chocolate, Munich 10, and Roasted Barley, balanced by Millennium hops. Following the initial brewing process, the stout is aged for an average of 12 to 14 months in a carefully selected blend of freshly emptied bourbon barrels from renowned distilleries such as Buffalo Trace, Heaven Hill, Four Roses, and Wild Turkey. This extended barrel-aging imparts deeply developed, complex flavors and enveloping aromas of fudge, vanilla, caramelized sugar, and warm, oak-driven bourbon notes.
