Kirin Ichiban, also known as Ichiban Shibori, is a Japanese pale lager defined by its unique first press brewing process. Unlike standard brewing methods that blend the first and second pressings of the wort, this beer is crafted exclusively from the first press. This technique extracts only the purest liquid from the grain, leaving behind bitter and astringent tannins. Brewed entirely from 100 percent barley malt, water, hops, and yeast without the use of adjuncts, it delivers a crisp, clean, and smooth flavor profile characterized by a rich malt sweetness and a refined, balanced finish.
