Zoospaloos is a traditional Czech tmavé pivo, or dark lager, brewed by Ladd & Lass Brewing. Recognized as one of Craft Beer & Brewing’s Top 20 Beers of 2024, this beer sports a deep hue but remains only lightly roasty. The flavor profile allows notes of coffee and cacao to intermingle with clean flavors of deeply toasted rustic bread crust. It is brewed with Czech Saaz hops alongside Pilsner, Floor-malted Bohemian Dark, and Caramunich Type 3 malts. The beer is named in honor of the brewery's late dog, Zeus, and a portion of sales is donated to Washington Wild to help fund their mission of protecting and restoring wild lands and waters in Washington State.
