The Curse by Midnight Sun Brewing Co. is an English-style barleywine created in collaboration with proprietors from Pacific Northwest craft beer bars CaskCades, Rainier Growlers, and Full Throttle Bottles. Brewed just before the 2020 pandemic around the time of the Great Alaskan Beer and Barley Wine Festival, the beer was aged in Port and Cognac barrels. It offers a rich, complex, and woody profile that the brewery recommends drinking fresh to end the curse, rather than cellaring.
