Friek is an American Wild Ale that combines the elements of a traditional Kriek and Framboise. The brewing process involves fermenting the ale with wild yeast and tart bacteria, followed by extensive aging in oak barrels. Fresh Colorado cherries and raspberries are added to the barrels to infuse the beer with bright fruit flavors. The brewery blends multiple vintages of this barrel-aged ale to create a complex, tart profile with prominent notes of sweet and sour cherries, fresh raspberries, and subtle oak, finishing dry and crisp.
