Estate Kriek by pFriem Family Brewers is a Belgian-style lambic ale that highlights locally sourced cherries. The beer is brewed with a traditional base of Pilsner malt and raw wheat, then aged in French oak barrels where it undergoes a mixed-culture fermentation with Brettanomyces and lactic acid bacteria. Fresh cherries are added to the barrels, allowing the fruit to ferment and integrate with the beer. This process creates a vibrant ruby-colored ale with aromatic notes of fresh cherry, almond, and subtle funk. The flavor profile delivers a tart, bright cherry character balanced by complex acidity and a crisp, dry finish.
