Pilsner Urquell
Plzeňský Prazdroj · Pilsner - Czech / Bohemian · 4.4% ABV
Pilsner Urquell by Plzeňský Prazdroj is a traditional Czech Bohemian Pilsner recognized as the world's first pale lager, originally brewed in 1842. It is crafted with soft water from Plzeň, Moravian barley malt, native Saaz hops, and a proprietary bottom-fermenting yeast strain. The brewing process utilizes a traditional triple decoction mash and direct-flame heating in copper kettles, which develops a subtle toasted, honey-like malt sweetness. This malt profile is balanced by the delicately spicy and herbal aromas, as well as the crisp, distinct bitterness provided by the noble Saaz hops. The beer pours a brilliantly clear golden color with a light body and a clean, refreshing finish.
