Prologue

Ravenna Brewing Company · Bitter - Extra Special / Strong (ESB) · 5.5% ABV

Prologue by Ravenna Brewing Company is an Extra Special Bitter that pays tribute to British strong bitters by equally celebrating English malt and hops. Pouring a beautiful copper color, the beer features a rich malt profile with flavors of bread crust, biscuits, and caramel. It is brewed with UK East Kent Golding and Pacific Northwest Willamette hops, which offer layered floral aromas and herbal notes of black tea that linger through the finish. The heavy bittering balances the rich maltiness, creating the perception of a moderately bitter beer by American standards.
