BBIS (2020 Edition) is an Imperial Stout crafted by Reuben's Brews. Built on an oat-forward and British specialty malt recipe originating from the brewery's 2013 version, this vintage introduces brewing techniques designed to create a bigger, richer, and silkier profile. The stout is aged in a blend of 10- to 12-year bourbon barrels, with the majority of the blend resting for about one year, complemented by the addition of two-year-aged BBIS for layered complexity. The aroma presents warming notes of cocoa, milk chocolate, and bourbon. On the palate, it delivers a silky mouthfeel with flavors of vanilla and rich milk chocolate, giving way to background notes of smoke, licorice, coffee, and a cherry liquor finish.
