BBIS (2021 Edition) by Reuben's Brews is a Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout brewed with an oat-forward and British specialty malt recipe that traces its roots back to the brewery's original 2013 release. The 2021 blend primarily features stout aged for 18 months in 10 to 12 year old bourbon barrels, combined with a portion of two year aged BBIS to add layers of complexity. This rich and silky beer offers warming aromas of cocoa, milk chocolate, and bourbon. On the palate, it delivers a smooth mouthfeel with prominent notes of vanilla and milk chocolate, followed by background hints of smoke, licorice, and coffee, all culminating in a cherry liquor finish.
