Double Barrel BBIS is a barrel-aged imperial stout by Reuben's Brews that undergoes an extended and intensive aging process. The beer is initially aged in a first set of bourbon barrels before being transferred into a second set of freshly emptied bourbon barrels for further maturation. This double-barrel technique concentrates the barrel character and yields a highly viscous, decadent stout. The resulting profile features intense aromas and flavors of rich dark chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla, toasted oak, dark molasses, and smooth bourbon.
