Starcleaners is a collaborative blend of a barleywine ale and a stout created by Oude Northwest, Stillwater Artisanal, Talking Cedar Brewery, and Bottleworks. The beer is aged for 18 months in a combination of bourbon and sherry barrels. This extended aging process imparts a complex flavor profile that balances the rich chocolate and coffee notes of a stout with the dark fruit sweetness of a barleywine, while adding layers of oak, vinous fruit, and whiskey spice.
