Stoup Brewing's Imperial Porter was originally brewed to celebrate the brewery's first year in business, serving as a bigger, bolder cousin to their Robust Porter. This rich, malt-forward beer is built on a complex malt bill that includes Maris Otter, Munich, 2-row, medium and dark English crystal, chocolate malt, and flaked rye. It is bittered with Columbus hops and finished with Hallertauer Mittelfruh to balance the malts. The resulting profile is strong in character, offering a smooth, rich maltiness with prominent notes of chocolate, caramel, and roasted coffee.
