Santo Ron Diego is a Belgian Strong Dark Ale brewed by The Lost Abbey. As the first beer released by the brewery to be aged in rum barrels, it begins as a strong ale brewed with dark candi syrup and spices before it was originally laid to rest in barrels in early 2013. The aroma presents sweet rum and cocoa alongside hints of vanilla and orange peel. Its flavor profile delivers prominent notes of ginger, brown sugar, and spiced rum throughout, ultimately concluding with a drying black pepper finish.
