Lord Marples
Thornbridge Brewery · Bitter - Session / Ordinary · 4.0% ABV
Lord Marples is a classic session bitter and the first beer ever brewed by Thornbridge Brewery, originally crafted in 2005 at the Hall Brewery. The beer is named after Mr. Marples, a former owner of Thornbridge Hall who enjoyed using the title of Lord despite never officially achieving it. It is brewed with Maris Otter, Caramalt, Crystal, and Chocolate malts, along with Goldings hops. This traditional bitter pours an attractive mahogany color and brings forth flavors of honey and caramel, finishing with a light bitterness to keep the profile perfectly balanced.
